on the temple sacrifices they slaughtered the animals and their blood was thrown over the altar, they then burnt the remaining carcasses except they very often removed the skins and pelts as this provided huge wealth/ income to the priests, who were taught to be master butchers before all else i’m afraid to say , i dread to think of the appalling mess and smells this incured, i’m truly glad the sacrifices came to an end in ad70 even God had voiced his disapproval of them
