What IF He didn't send down His Son Jesus to die for us? Would that be enough? Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the only gate to the Father's Kingdom. Given that the song was made in 9th century, well into a period of abysmal gracelessness the Judaism has become after denying Christ, singing it right around time of Christ's glorious Resurrection will be either an utter foolishness (like pouring new wine into old wineskins) or outright denial of significance of Christ's coming. No, thank you.

Thank you Lois for sharing this. Father put the Dayenu on my heart this morning with the thought...what 15 things would be enough that Jesus did for us during his First Coming...maybe there is a version out there?

When I googled..I came to your thoughts from 2014!! What is way cool is that I started my Holy Week journey this year reading the Chapter on Passover last Saturday from your book. At the feet of Jesus.

I’m planning to share a bit of this tonight as part of our Last Supper Seder service with my family, along with sharing deeper about the Dayenu.

Thank you for being such a forerunner and messenger, a First Fruit as we prepare the Bride for her Groom here on Earth!!! Happy Maundy Thursday

I agree. I was thinking also today of Jesus saying to his sleeping disciples "It is Enough" and considering that even when we let God down, God does not let us down but continues to act. This is true in the relationship of Jesus and his disciples (their falling asleep in the garden wasn't the first or last time of their letting Jesus down) and it is true when you consider the the Exodus story as well...or go further back to Abraham, Lot, Noah, Isaac, Jacob, and back all the way to Adam...God is enough, God acts for us.

The overwhelming gratitude that this hymn depicts is catching! It shows how prodigal the Father's love and generosity is to us, that he would adopt us as his own people!!
