Newsflash! The audio version of David Bivin’s excellent book, “New Light on the Difficult Words of Jesus” has just been released on Amazon, Audible and Apple Books. Here’s a link to the Amazon page.
David Bivin was the founder and publisher of the journal Jerusalem Perspective, and he wrote hundreds of articles on Jesus in his Jewish context. Back in 2005, my ministry asked him if we could choose our favorites and publish them in a book, and I did the choosing and editing. Pardon my partiality, but I think it’s an excellent book.
To make the audio version, I hired a narrator in England who had a nice, deep accent to produce it. His name is David Shepherd and he was already a fan of David Bivin’s too. I met him when I visited the UK to speak at the CMJ-UK conference this summer.
