CMJ-UK Annual Conference 2026 – July 3-5, 2026 (Updated)

March 16, 2026 Leave a Comment

I’m excited to let you know that I will be coming to the UK in July of 2026 to be the lead speaker for the CMJ-UK 2026 Annual Conference. I will be speaking three times over the weekend. CMJ-UK stands for the Church’s Ministry to the Jews, and refers to the Anglican church. The mission of CMJ is to be a witness to the Jewish people about the Messiah, and to educate the Church on the Jewish roots of her faith and the understanding that God has not finished with Israel. CMJ also has offices in Jerusalem, the US and elsewhere around the world.

Their annual conference will be held at the Yarnfield Park Conference Centre in Staffordshire.

Yarnfield Park is off M6 between between Manchester and Birmingham, near Stoke-on-Trent.

I hope you will join me! Register for the conference at this link. (I believe talks be recorded if you cannot attend.)

Here’s what I’ll be speaking about:

Reading the Bible as an Insider

The Bible contains much more good news than Christians imagine. Heard in its ancient Near Eastern context, we find novel, earth-shattering ideas from the very first page of Genesis. In its native setting we see themes winding through Old and New Testaments that proclaim powerful truths from beginning to end.

The Way the World Was…And Still Is

I’ve been exploring the Bible with a scholar who has a surprising amount of “insider” knowledge of the biblical text. Together we’ve been discovering why Scripture is so difficult for modern readers to understand, and look at some interesting answers to tough questions.

Tough Question 1: Christ’s Outcry from the Cross

Jesus’ cry from the cross has been the source of endless theological speculation. What if we looked at this scene through the lens of Psalm 22 and God’s response to an outcry throughout Scripture?

Tough Question 2: Why didn’t God Outlaw Slavery?

Readers are shocked by the fact that the Bible didn’t prohibit slavery, but regulated it instead. If you know the wider context of world history, though, you’ll see how the Bible undermined slavery and brought it to an end.

I recorded a new two-minute invitation for my seminar recently. For this one, I’m even speaking to you from right inside the biblical world!

I also gave a lecture last in September of 2025 on Zoom for CMJ-UK called “The Good News Begins in Genesis,” which is a warm up for my seminar. You can watch below.

I will be doing some other speaking in the UK while I’m visiting between July 1-20. I’ll be speaking in Bournemouth on July 10-11 and near Glasgow on July 18-19. (I’ll post more details later as I have them.) Feel free to sign up on my email list or add a comment below if you’d like to keep you informed of my plans.

CMJ stands for the Church’s Ministry to the Jews, and refers to the Anglican church in the United Kingdom.

The mission of CMJ-UK:

“We believe the mandate God has given to us is to be a witness to the Jewish People about the Messiah, and to educate the Church on the Jewish roots of her faith and understanding that God has not finished with Israel. We also believe that God is doing a restorative work between His people, as through Yeshua the dividing walls between us are being broken down.”
