I will be doing a two part mini-course on some rich Hebrew words (no language background needed!). Here’s the description of the sessions:
Hearing God’s Word Through Jesus’ Ears
The Bible’s words are aromatic and savory from the dusty, ancient land of their origin. Each one is an over-stuffed suitcase, wider and deeper than its English equivalent. We’ll spend two evenings looking at key words that likely sounded different to Jesus and his Jewish disciples than they do to us today. Discovering just a few insights about the Bible’s Hebrew “accent” will give you new tools for unlocking God’s Word.
See the page for the class at the CIC website to register. The CIC says, “All interested persons (from any religious background) are welcome to participate. There is no registration fee, but we do request a donation of $5.00 per course.” For more information, call 616-459-7267.
