Interviews with Lois Tverberg about Rabbi Jesus

Lois Tverberg InterviewYou don’t get to see me speak very often online, but here are a couple opportunities.

I was interviewed on the television program Jewish Voice Today a while back about my book Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus (Zondervan, 2012). You can watch that below. (Click the “Read More” link or title if you don’t see it.)

And, on Tuesday, January 28, I’m going to be speaking online on The TECHology Show. This is “A Weekly Podcast Featuring Technology, Theology, and Everything in Between.” I’ll be chatting with the hosts about my earlier book Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, (Zondervan 2009). You can watch it live at Noon EST on 1/28/14 on the TECHology site if you’re available, or you can watch the video or listen to the podcast afterward.

(Updated) Here’s the link to the video!

Walking in the dust of Rabbi Jesus is by far one of my favorite books! It has triggered a fresh hunger for the Word and a deeper richer meaning. I have one question. Brian Mclaren was quoted on page 44. There is controversy with him and “the emergent church”. Why did you choose him? I don’t know how else to ask and I don’t want to be offensive. Please help me sort this out. Thank you

Karen, I’m glad you want to be careful with your sources, and I’m not involved in the “emergent” movement, personally. Just because I quote someone isn’t a blanket recommendation. My book actually has a lot of quotes from Jewish sources who don’t necessarily believe that Jesus is the Son of God. It just shows how critical it is to be “Bereans” — to develop your own solid knowledge of the Scriptures and prayerful sense of discernment, and not just rely on lists of “good guys” and “bad guys” to determine what is true and what isn’t.

Hi Lois, I totally agree with you. I did not have a problem with the quote at all. It was the source of the quote, which I was concerned that could lead others to think you might be promoting or in support of their stance on issues etc…
I do realize you quote others who do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God – I thought that was obvious. Thank You 🙂

Walking the dust of Rabbi Jesus is awesome! Really enjoyed reading it. Ithas helped me grower closer to Rabbi Jesus and understand and love His Word. Makes me want to keep studying the Hebrew language to understand the Word. My small group bible study in birmingham, mi has really enjoyed studying your book too. Thanks Lois!
    God’s blessings & shalom,
